What is Impotence ?
Erectile Dysfunction (ED) is also called impotence. If you have male impotence, you find it difficult to get and keep an erection hard enough for sexual intercourse.
Many people think male impotence is rare. However, it is very common. About 10 percent of American males have it. That's 10 to 15 million men. If you have male impotence, you are far from alone. It is important to remember that male impotence is a condition and not a disease. It is caused when something in your body or your mind is not working right.
About 85% of male impotence is due to physical causes. Only about 10% results from psychological causes. The impotence causes for the remaining 5% are unknown. Physical impotence can come from heart disease, prostate cancer, diabetes or Peyronie's disease, to name just a few causes. In fact, impotence often is a symptom of another disease. This is particularly true if you are a diabetic.
The leading psychological impotence causes are stress, anxiety and depression. There is no need to live with male impotence. Today, experienced doctors can successfully treat almost every case no matter what the cause.
